Information: Psalm 121 was written at the request of Mars Hill University to honor the retirement of Dr. Julie Fortney, who taught voice at the institution for over four decades. Combining the feel of an old Appalachian hymn with the harmonic language of French impressionism, Psalm 121 is an ode to beauty, faith, and valediction.
